VW/Audi 1.8T Head Gasket procedure
 

I have read numerous write-ups and have a good idea of what's involved - what I am wondering is what a head gasket job is worth ?

Considering it's getting done on a 99 A4 1.8T that's been ragged out, has water sitting at the bottom of the block from the gasket being blown for a while, got some timing belt slack and who knows what else.

Anyone done one of these recently that can recall the hours involved ?

Head tech at greenbriar vw said somewhere around 8-10 hours. It is a hard job, alot of turbo stuff in the way;) hopefully that is all it needs:thup:
