hey waz up every one but i wanted to ask if my VSS went bad could that make my vtec stop working i mean ever scence you spedo stoped working my vtec stoped working so i am thinking it is my VSS that made my vtec stop working and does any one in here have a nother VSS that they can sell me

Check your oil Low oil equals low oil pressure which equals no VTEC

 

its the oversized jdm solenoid

 

VSS Vehicle Speed Sensor Nothing to do with Vtec working that I am aware of

 

i thought it did but i'm not 100% sure. check your oil level just because that's common sense but if i remember correctly the vss will effect it as well.

 

Try bringing it to a local honda dealership to look at it. Well, you say your speedometer stopped working and also your vtec isn't activating. So two birds with one stone, switch the VSS and see if that fixes both problems. If not, you can look into it more.

 

well my speedo only works sometimes and i always have vtec, so in my case the answer is no.

 

my speedo stopped working and my vtec didnt work at all ,check you plug that plugs into the vss mine was corroded by antifreeze from my swap so it wasnt getting a good signal and i changed the plug and speedo and vtec now work fine.
