Default VR6 wont Idle

Got a 97 Passat wagon VR6 automatic. Just bought the car as is, so i havent really messed with it. Figured Before i start work i'd see if anyone else out there would have any insight on what mite cause this? any help is welcomed and apperciated.

mass air flow might cause it. its easy to change or/and test

Check all the vacuum lines around the throttle body and intake manifold for cracks.

Yeah thats what i figured. thought maybe it would be a simple fix(never is..lol.) guess i'll go trouble shoot it tomorrow. thanks for the help guys
