Viper alarm remote start issues
About 2 wks ago my remote start for my viper alarm started acting up. The car would start then turn on in about 2 sec and it would try again a few more times. I tried this several times and each time the same thing.
I have no issues starting the car using the key without pressing the clutch due to the bypass. The alarm functions seem to work fine besides the remote start.
Perhaps somebody knows which issues are causing this?

Re: Viper alarm remote start issues
sounds like a tach wire problem, if you own a 2000 or older civic there should be a purple wire coming thru the fire wall and it should be connected to a blue wire in the driver side of the engine bay. look for the purple wire

mine did start then shut off once.... my battery in my 2 way was dead and as my car has a on/off remote start i changed the battery and never had the problem again....its like the signal was dead so the alarm module cut out.... maybe same for you
