Default viper alarm autostart issues

viper alarm started acting up today. when I try to autostart it would start then shut off right after. if would try to do this 3 times then it stops. but when I try to autostart it with the key in and put it to on position it would turn on. any advice in what could be wrong? thanks in advance

1)what kind of car is it
2) you probably have a chip in the key and the bypass isnt working correctly

i would suggest putting the key in the ignition and NOT turning it on, just put the key in the slot. then try remote starting the vehicle, if it starts then bam theres your problem right there. the imobilizer bypass isnt working, that would be my first guess.

1. 99 civic si
2. chip in the key?

with the key in the slot and autostart It shuts off still. the only time autostart will work is having it in the on position. im not familiar in where the bypass is located (bought the car with the viper already installed)... could be some wires got loose?

it is possible to have a chip in the key, but doubtful.

im guessing something came loose or maybe lost programming, its almost impossible to say unless its right in front of me. i would say head to best buy or your local car audio shop

didn't see it was an si doesn't have a bypass it might be the tach. Try reprogramming the tach again.

the clutch is bypassed which is normal, and no i dont think its tach. it usually is dont thru voltage on DEI products, i could take a look at it but not this weekend im outta town for a wedding. im pretty sure its either tach like the guy above me said or voltage sense. it has to be one of the two. if you wanna have it fixed asap try ccity or bestbuy, if u go to ccity tell them adam sent u, my brother works there

voltage sense is good, but in a honda, the tach wire is so easily accesible why not just go there
