I have the same lifter tick that you have and it really isn't a problem. My car is a 98' and it has had it for about 1/2 a year. There is some sort of a treatment available at most shops to make the ticking go away for a little while but it is around $50. Not really worth it since the ticking will come back eventually. If you replace the lifters go with the 99' model. It has a bigger hole allowing more oil through.
