Default Turbo Questions... need suggestions/input

I have a 2002 accord ex (2.3l vtec) that I will be boosting on stock internals, and I'd like to do it for cheap, like around $1k. So far, I'm thinking either a t3, t3/t4, or ihi rhb5 turbo, drag manifold, 2g dsm diverter valve, used starion fmic, and then whatever wastegate I see a good deal on.

My questions are more about fuel components. I'd only be running 9psi max, i'd keep it around 6psi most of the time. What all would I need for fuel supply? Do I need bigger injectors, or are my stock ones ok for lower boost? I know some people fun bigger injectors and do the afc hack, but I'd rather not do that. Can I just upgrade to a vortech fmu and a walbro pump? Or do i need new injectors, a fpr, and an afc?

To be safe, at a minimum you should use larger injectors and a properly sized FMU. Then you may find out that you need a larger capacity pump also. Look around and see what others have already done and how it has worked for them. Good luck.

the afc hack is very dependable...if you dont want to do that your only route is the FMU with better fuel pump. either way you shouldnt have any problems with correct tuning. thats where your money should go.

searh and search some more, its the only way ur gonna learn what to do and what u want. ask some people on here that have a similiar setup to what u want and go from there, you may also try looking around on honda tech and get some answer. good luck on ur build but dont do it cheap and make sure u have soemone that can tune it, thats the most important key to the turbo, no how much fuel you can dump into it.

youve got vtec......if its anything like mine at 6 psi it will run REALLY lean on stock injectors with fmu & fuel pump. youll want some 440RC's.

nice concept though. it would be cool to see a quick 4 dr accord...

if you want it done right, and well, seriously, spend the extra money on a kit. its a LOT less headache and you know the parts are either new or remanufactured to like-new specs.
