Turbo manifold Question
I am debating with a friend about heat wraping the manifold v. Coating and heat wraping, or neither. what set up for a 94-95 Gsr turbo set up. With a drag IIi or greddy manifolds.

i would not wrap the manifold, yes it will give you lower underhood temperatures and since the turbo also works off heat it might do a little for performance but the possibility of your manifold cracking is greater because of the heat sinking into the manifold, i havent researched coating the manifolds, but im sure if its like a jet coat or a heat coat it does the same thing but you can make it different colors, haha, which is prolly the only real gain.........

I've seen a lot of track cars that have wrap on the manifold. I think that as a lot more to do with the fact that they run in controlled conditions and don't really care if the wrap effects the longevity of the manifold since they can just put another one on.
