I have a TB0305 garrett turbo. it says it is for a 1980-81 Trans Am 4.9L. I dont know alot about turbos so i was wondering if this was like a t3 t4 or anything like that ( i really am clueless about turbos) so any help is appreciated.

That shit's old, son. IIRC, it's roughly equivilant to a small T4, and about as in-efficient as possible. Sell it if you can, otherwise just throw it away. I wouldn't waste my time installing it on anything.

mother of god. a 301 turbo? one of the sickest (literally, not figuratively) engines ever produced.

however, they are pretty rare anymore. doesnt mean its worth anything, but its worth a shot to try to sell it. one mans junk is anothers treasure i reckon.

Default Re: Turbo Help

spend some money on a to4b t3t4 setup. Cheap route
to4E a little bit more but comes with a oil/watercooler center cartridge unlike the to4B

Are you doing turbo on a KA motor?? Take some examples from the FMAX kit.
