I have a b16 fully built. Has type r pistons and cams. I wanna know if I can boost it on high compression

yes you can. a friend of mine is making 338whp on a high compression b16. he's only running 7-9psi though

joey, dont fuck with them pistons I'm tellin you. Get rid of them and buy some custom low compression pistons and rods. Then let me drive it =]

Yes, you can. But the power to be had from those pistons is gonna be left up to your tuner, as the detonation & knock threshold is gonna be thin, assuming you're gonna be running pump gas.

It all depends on what kind of power you're looking for. I've seen OEM ITR internals make anywhere from 300 to 330 whp, the psi used is gonna depend on the setup. I would not carry it no farther than that, however. OEM cast Honda pistons with that high of a compression associated with the high cylinder pressures of boost gives you little to work with. Keep it in that power range (above), and you should be fine. If you want more power, toss in some aftermarket forged 9:1 or 9.5:1 JE's, CP's, Wiseco's, Arias or any others most associated with Honda, all are pretty good companies, it's just personal preference.

Also. ITR pistons in a B16 don't net the gains like stupid ass CTRs do.
CTR pistons suck dick anyways..
