Default Transmission replacement.

I have a Civic with a B20b in it, with a LS transmission. 3rd is starting to go out (popping out and such) if I decide to replace it with a b16 or GSR trans would I need to change my clutch to work with the different trans?? Same with the axles? Since the flywheel/clutch/axles are not even a year old, I would really like to not have to buy them again lol.

Nope. All the same. Where are you located? I can fix your old trans cheaper than you buying a new one.

I just got stationed in Whiteman AFB, Missiouri. So to answer your question about 18 hours away lol.

So everything is the same, sweet.

Instead of replacing the transmission why don't you check the synchros and shift forks.. could possibly be much more cheaper, especially if you know how to turn the wrenches, (but more time consuming) than buying a new transmission.

I agree with the suggestions. No need to replace the whole tranny for 1 gear.

There are numerous wright up's on this topic. If you have turned a few, should be a good repair. Just keep everything in order when your remove and replace them.
