would a rebuild kit be the same for an ls tranny as it would for an xsi tranny? i have an xsi swap with an s1 non lsd tranny in my car right now. i also have no fourth gear. it doesnt seems right now that ill be finding a good condition cable b series tranny for cheap anytime soon, so im contemplating just buying a rebuild kit and repairing this one. question is, would the rebuild kit be the same for the difference in trannies? i have no clue where I could get a kit for an xsi tranny, but im sure and auto parts store can order a kit for a 90-93 LS tranny

not sure...really can't answer your questions. You can contact these people. they specialize in parts and rebuilding trannies.. specialzing in bseries trannies... I've never worked w/ them but i've heard great things from them:

same, but you may just want to get one off gear speed. plus they have the carbon coated syncros, like the ones in the 99-00 si's and in the type-r's
