TorqueFlight 727 trans slipping..?
Hey guys,
Here is my problem and my vehicle.
1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
35'' tires
3 speed automatic (torqueflight 727)
Supporting a AMC 5.9 V8
Dana 44 in the front and amc 20 in the rear
I think those are the most important pieces I should add. Onto the problem, Tonight I was driving the shagn wagn for maybe about 30 minutes total. I was cruising maybe 30mph, I slowed down and lightly re-accelerated, but it seemed as if it was in neutral, well it wasn't..it seemed to be slipping. So I stopped. Put it in park and then dropped it back down to OD. Everything was fine? It hasn't happened since, it scared me, but my truck does seem to be a little shakey at low rpms now. It hasn't acted like this before, but it has been sitting up since September of 07.
Think it may need a possible transmission flush? Also the transmission looks fairly new, as if it is a Jasper Transmissions replacement.
