Default T-Bird over heated

My friend has a 94 supercharged thunderbird....he had a radiator leak, and the check engine light as well as low coolant light were constantly on for 5 days, but he didnt do anything until all of the coolant drained from the radiator...He continuously tried to start it and drive....but it kept stalling....he realized white smoke was pouring out of the exhaust just before the car died for good.....besides the radiator needing replacing, could it also be internals? such as fried piston rings since the engine got so hot and considering he has forced induction?? thanks in advance
