Suspension Spring Rate Question
Hey guys as the title says i got a quesiton on srping rates. Is it better to have a higher spring rate? or a lower spring rate? lookin for coilovers and comparing. Im looking for a Comfortable ride and not SO BOUNCY. I was told that a higher spring rate reduces that. but im not quite sure. Any help/info is greatly appreciated.

Re: Suspension Spring Rate Question
A higher spring rate will make the car ride stiffer. If you don't like how bouncy the car currently is, it might just be that the struts are worn out and need to be replaced because they aren't controlling the spring motion properly. Without knowing more about the car and what you're describing as "bouncy", it's hard to say..

Re: Suspension Spring Rate Question
Yeah if it's "bouncy", it's prob your blown struts, not the springs.
Even on some dook ass springs, properly functioning struts would deff eliminate most, if not all "bounce".

Re: Suspension Spring Rate Question
Yea i have some Ksport coilovers(came with car). N looking to replace them since they ARE for sure Blown. Cant even take a small speed bump without the body slammin to the ground or even drive down 264 hitting those whack ass speed bump shit n rubbing since it just drops. Was just wondering since some have different spring rates which would be better to get. higher or smaller. thats all. n im lookin at Blox/ Tien. ones that are in the current budget.
