stripped distributor cap bolt, Craftsman bolt out?

Default stripped distributor cap bolt, Craftsman bolt out?

well yeah, doing a tune up and the distributor cap bolt stripped on me; what a bitch. i heard good things about Craftsman bolt out? has anyone tried it or would recommend it on a distributor cap bolt? or have any other thoughts or solutions that would help. thanks in advance.

The bolt out kits work great, i use them on a day to day basis, but a Dizzy bolt should not have been that tight, did you use a standard or wrong size wrench on it?

nah, just the 8mm as it says in the book. then i tried the philips screw driver. both stripped on me. but thanks for the info. i think ima give that a try.

Put a pair of vice grips on that bitch to break it loose, then replace the bolt. If vice grips don't break it loose, you did something WAY wrong haha

Tap it with a hammer to break it lose with vibrations. hit the head, head-on. decent force is ok, but use finesse. Then use vice grips.
