I have an E5 you can test with, but it's my only ECU and I kind of need it to run my car. I would open up your old ECU and check for shorts to verify that your ECU went bad. Nissan electronics are generally easy to tell when something's burned out on them. Also, you can see if water made it into the ECU that way as well.

When you say "flooded pretty bad", how bad was it?

I wouldn't really assume anything is bad until you can verify that everything has power and that there aren't any blown fuses or water-filled electrical connections. If your ECU is damaged, and the source of the damage is still there, plugging in another ECU could damage that one also. That's why it's important to check for the easy things first.

Check that the battery is still charged, check that all the fuses are intact and have voltage when they should, things like that.

Also, you've never said what the problem actually is. Does not starting mean not cranking, not transitioning from cranking to running, what does that mean? If it's not cranking, the ECU most likely has nothing to do with it. Most cars will crank and crank and crank, and then you realize that you left the ECU in the house (how do I know this?), so what are the symptoms that you're seeing?

I'm closing this thread because you already have a duplicate and apparently aren't looking for tech help. If want tech help, I'll open it back up and we'll close the other thread.
