Default Speedometer reading 20 mpg high.

Yeah, its a 94 civic coupe dx. I swapped a Integra ls cluster into it, but it looked horrible so I came across a ex cluster so I snatched it. Well today I put it in. And the speedometer is reading 20 mpg (fuck damn "g" key, I meant "h" Fucking index fingers) high, So mph not g dumb shits. When I'm stopped it is at 20. When I'm doing ~25 its reading 45-50. I checked the speed sensor and its connected, but the tab doesn't click. I don't think thats the problem, but I don't want to rule it out just yet. I used butt connectors for the wires and plugs in the back of the cluster and everything else is reading accurate (so I assume). I'm heading out there now to make a better connection on the speedo wire behind the cluster just to be sure. And if I take the needle off and reset it manually, would that fuck anything up? I want to know before I do it lol.

Any suggestions?

have you thought of taking the 2 good ones apart, swapping the dx speedo components (what makes the needle turn) into the ex cluster? had to do this when i got another 80's mustang cluster, wound up swapping speedo controller to keep the pretty cool looking white faces.

Thought about it. Then remember I junked the old cluster... Dumb me. I think I'll bite the bullet on this one and take it to the dealer. Unless one of the honda techs know how to do it and feel like making some money on the side.
