it's been happening for a long time. i start it up-it takes more time to start up like 3 or 4 sec more and sometimes it acts like it doesn't want to start at all. i think it's a sensor. the code says it's a crank angle sensor and i checked the book and it said replace the distibutor well i didn't think anything of it cause i'm lazy so....it eventually needed a new distributor so i put one on it and the dang thing still had the same problem(crank angle sensor). it will 1. stall out when the engine is cold and i come to a stop, 2. run low idle constantly, 3. not start up when engine is warm, 4. doesn't run past 4,000 rpm's, 5. check engine light comes on strong in first second and third gear but once the light comes on it idles a little better but still seems like it wants to stall but won't but check engine light won't come on until i've driven it for a while. dang sensor or something someone please help me i'm dyin to know what it is cause my friend has the same problem. HELP!!!

try replacing your crank angle sensor, and double check your timing.......

I'm no ASE certified Honda Technician, but you MIGHT want to check out the crank angle sensor. Maybe.. just a shot in the dark, really.

i don't have the wiring diagram but that is what you'll need. you'll need to find out which pins at the distributor are the crank angle sensor as well as the pin outs for the crank angle sensor at the ECU. check the resistance between the pinouts at the distributor. the pinouts should read a resistance between 200-600 ohms(not sure exactly but that is a ballpark). if this is good then check connectivity between on pin on the engine harness at the distributor of the crank angle with the corresponding pinout at the ECU. you should have solid connectivity. check both pins. if this checks out then try another distributor and/or ECU. HTH
