Default some one help? question

i have a 91 cavalier and friday, i experienced the car over heating and it appears to be leaking coolant/antifreeze. i was told that it could be the heater core, but i know it cant possibly be beacuase i didnt smelll antifreeze and smoke or steam did not come through the air vents. also, all of the antifreeze leaks out while the car is off .

do any of yall think it could be just the heater hoses? and not the heater core.

represented that
a. i didnt smell antifreeze
b. no smoke in dash/vents
c. antifreeze leaks out

i did some serching on google and heater core problems are
a. car overheats
b. strong smell of antifreeze in the car
c. smoke in the vents

do you guys think that it could be the core or just hoses cuz hoses cost $10.00 as to the core which cost $180+

when you turn the car on do the radiator hoses, lower and upper, get burning hot?

you cant just jack the car up and see where it leaks from when you turn it off?

i used to have a 1990 cavalier that overheated...ended up being the water pump

fill the car with coolant...let it run sitting still...and try your best to look at the water pump. see if there is water leaking out of the "pee" hole on the front of it....if its leaking then the pump is bad
