Default SOHC 240 Fan

this shit sounds like a jet is under my hood and I dont like it, can I replace it with a smaller fan or something that dosnt make it sound like a bus? This is the fan thats connected to the crank pully I belive... anyone?

yea.. just take it off and buy an electric fan...or steal one from a honda and wire it up.

I used a cheap one from Advance Auto forever on my KA w/no problem. Warmed up faster and was much quieter. Couldn't really feel any performance gain though.

guys it would be 90% cheaper if mike just bought a fan shroud for it. thats why it is so loud. i have seen the car in person and told him about it from the start. mikey go to the junkyard with me and dan today and pick up a fan shroud. it will cut down on the noise a whole whole lot!

I had a fan shroud.


Then I got rid of it because electric > parasitic.
