Socket Size for 2000 Civic Spark Plugs?
I'm under the impression that the smallest spark plugs are 5/8. I have a socket wrench with a 5/8 socket that fits over top of the plug, but does not catch it when turned. It slides down into the plug shaft and wobbles a bit when pressed.
Is it possible I need a larger socket and it's not going all the way down?

i'm thinking that you're trying to use deep sockets instead of spark plug sockets, so your deep sockets are not long enough. just get the spark plug socket from just about any auto parts store, wally world, or sears.

If you're replacing plugs, why not take a new one out of the little skinny box and figure it out where you can see everything?

Re: Socket Size for 2000 Civic Spark Plugs?
Thanks for the replies. Turns out a 3/4 inch long 5/8 socket (12 or 6 point) works, it's just that my plugs were loose so it felt like it was just spinning around the nut.
Edit: I wasn't replacing the spark plugs and don't have a spare sitting around for testing. I was pulling them out to do a pressure test on the sockets.
