Default Smoking
Come out of a parking lot last night and guy pulls up next to me and says my car is smoking real bad. Had my friend follow me today and said I was burning madd oil. Just started yesterday. Any reason why it would just start smoking out of the blue?

Are you sure it's burning oil? It could also be running too rich due to a bad O2 sensor.

if it is blue smoke you are burning oil. the only way to really tell why you are burning oil is to start tearing into your engine. their could be alot of reasons why you are buring oil but the smoked would be blue. black would be you burning rich. and white is buring water

leak down test. Is this car turbo by any chance? If so hopefully its just turbo seals and not the engine.

Alot of things can cause it whether it would be rings, valve stem seals, etc.
