skunk 2 TB stay open HELP
My TB won't shut all the way. It's only open about a millimeter.
It is causeing my idle to bounce and is really getting on my nerves.
I have tried wd-40 plus another 4 types of lube but nothing seems to work.
Any ideas on how to fix?
Thank you

Re: skunk 2 TB stay open HELP
Is there a throttle stop screw?
Usually stuck throttles are caused by one of four things:
1) Mis-adjusted stop screw or other stop mechanism
2) too much throttle cable tension, or a kinked cable
3) Throttle plate misaligned on/in the throttle shaft, causing the throttle plate to not be concentric in the bore of the throttle body.
4) Throttle plate mounted backwards; only a problem if the throttle body has a tapered (or angle cut) edge around it. Usually the throttle plate won't seat properly when flipped around.

Re: skunk 2 TB stay open HELP
well i tightend the stop screw pretty hard, but didn't change anything.
the cable isn't kinked but, i cant hold my speed with outthe throttle body shuting.( i have loosend and tightend the cable numerous times but nothing seems to work)
in # 2) are you suggesting that i take out the plate clean it and put it back on as best as i can?
thank you
