Everyone is telling me that the 2004 is only SOHC and not K series. It is an upgraded stock engine that came from the dealer. So did they make the 2004 coupes with i-vtec K series motors? or am I going crazy?
No, only the SI comes with the i-VTECH.

Yeah I know that now, thanks man .But my friend told me that his 04 coupe has a 2.0 vtec. All I have seen are the 1.7 vtec. So I guess they did make some with 2.0 vtecs as well?

no honda did not ever offer the coupe with the option for a K20 , yes you can swap in a K20, but there was no way to buy a 04 civic new from the dealer with a K series
