safer to install?
is it safe for me and my buds to install my recently purchased, AEM CAI??
the bud im doing it with, his dad installed a cold air on his 2002 stang GT, so im sure they know what they are doing. todayt we installed a custom intake on my friends 1998 Cherokee 2x4

i feel ya on this one, but aem cai's can yield disasterous effects for the FOOLS that decide to buy the intake with out the bypass valve and then run through a big puddle........

if you have a one-piece, cut the intake for the valve....
unfortunatley, us turboed people cant have one..but the water gets evaporated in the turbo anyway...

i've had my CAI on for over two years....NEVER had a problem w/ hydrolock. you have to fully submerge the filter for that...just dont be stupid and drive around in floods...

I have had my AEM cold air intake for 3 1/2 years now and also never had a problem. I even lived in Houston where it floods alot and still no problem. Maybe I have been lucky.
