Default s14 golden heater core

So Friday the heater core in my 95 s14 took a shit. I was like eh no biggie and called autozone to get a replacement. The guy I talked to said they could get it Saturday afternoon and it would be $181.99 I laughed at him and said okay thanks then proceeded to look it up myself only to find out that he was right. I have never ever seen a heater core that was more than like $50 and this just blew my mind. Anyway, I finally found one at Napa for $49.99, ordered it, and picked it up at 9am Saturday. After removing the dash and selling my soul to the devil to be able to remove the heater core hoses without pulling the motor, I got the heater box out only to find that the core didn't fit. Apparently my car has the 96-98 heater box and the core for it is not available to any parts store. I measured the old one and looked up the heater core dimensions for every Nissan I thought might have a similar core. I found the same thing, most of them were not listed. Reluctantly I called the dealership and they told me that the one I needed would be $262 but it had been discontinued so good luck. So this is where I stand with absolutely no clue what to do other than look at every junk yard on the east coast and I have my doubts of finding one. Does anyone have any suggestions on places to check or another heater core that would work? I really don't want a used heater core but it seems like that is my only option.

Just called and still nothing. The guy said that none of their vendors carry it. Thanks for the suggestion though

Like I said, I had never seen one (for a car at least) more than like $50. If I could find one for less than $200 I would be happy as hell but right now I just need to find one period however much it may cost.

It's a 1995 car. You're going to have to settle for used parts a lot of the time.
