What's the difference between a HLSD and my viscous LSD?

Oh, and Cusco and KAAZ also make LSD's for our cars.

If I ever go pistons, I'll have a S14.5 (S14 w/ S15 conversion) hatchback (like it more than the coupe). Also will have a RB26DETT w/ a 6spd. Until then though, rotary till I die

We wouldn't have it any other way.

All the S14's are coupes, there is no hatch. Also the body lines don't flow very well if you put a S15 front on a S14 ... but to each their own.

What exactly are you saying about swapping the HLSD?

The actual internals will swap (I'm assuming the S15 still has a R200 differential but I'm not positive). You can't just swap the pumpkins. If you do that for the S15 differential you need the entire rear subframe. I'm not sure about any of the skylines.

The Cusco and Kaaz LSDS are both clutch type ... very noisy. I like it

Thanks for the correction, I don't know much about Nissans. I do like the 240SX hatches better than the coupes though. I just don't like the flip up lights. So, it'd have to be a Sileighty.
I've only seen the Skyline conversion once and the guy knew NO English. So, all I could do was look and I knew even less about anything other than rotaries than I do now.

This Flip likes the Flip-up lights

.....hehe, but really, I'm not really into the sil-eighty conversion. Just looks .......... "too old school" ......just my opinion. But I do love the s14a headlights. Oh How I would love that on my car.

Japanesse spec R S15's were built with an HLSD Non All wheel drive rear-end not at all like the R200 the RS200 was all we got from Nismo that was any good ...(Thats what i got).....Its basiclly a drive train swap but bolts up no mods........(Drive axles and all)..........anyone interested should check into it at 200sx.org .......

...........And as for the VLSD VS. HSLD viscous - Helical......
not sure yet about anymore........the gearbox (6-speed) can be used without buying the whole tranny......(or so says NISMO)......

I am quoting performance figures from magazines that I manage to dig up. Your results may vary widely (or wildly). Japanese and US cars are limited to 180 Km/h (~112mph).
There are a lot of gaps in this chart. If you can provide published figures for stock cars (magazines, web, etc) please let me know.
