S13 240sx problems
I left a week ago and it was running perfect. I had my brother move it, he had a problem with the brake lights not turning off even after the car was turned off and did nothing about it so I cam back to a car with a completely dead battery. I got a friend to jump me and the car would start but the clock didn't turn on, the blower for the a/c wouldn't turn on... nothing electrical turned on. The car would start fine when another car was connected but once disconnected the car wouldn't start and the electricity wouldn't come on. I haven't gotten around to going to get a new battery but I found it odd that none of the electrical would come on. What could be causing that? I'll be sure to update this once I am able to get a new battery into the car. Thanks in advance.
BTW. Its a 1990 240sx Automatic and I was about to change out the head unit but then this happened. |

check your fuses?

Re: S13 240sx problems
replace battery first, and then let us know if that fixed it.

Re: S13 240sx problems
take batery to local auto part store and check it and charge it if its ok.
in ref to teh brake lights being on. look at the top of the brake pedal theres a switch there. look at it theres a littel rubber bumper that sometimes falls out and keeps the brake lights on. If so put a bolt in its place and call it a day. If not either go to the yard or local auto part store and get a brake light switch. GL ~skott |
