Default rx7 help

ok i got off my ass today and charged trhe battery in my fd and did a tune up

i replaced the plugs and did an oil change...

took it out for a spin and when it builds boost it develops a rattle...

not a deep rattle ...like a clangy type of rattle...

any ideas??

it has some foam filters on the intake tubes and after i took them off they are starting to deteriate and some of the foam got sucked into the turbo...

do you think that could have messed the blades up in the turbo and that is whats rattling???

you took the foam off while it was running?

EDIT: Also, an obvious question I guess, any heat shields on the car?

Does it idle fine? As in can you hear the noise when its idling? Im assuming stock twins? Still sequential? You could get a stethoscope (sp?) and put it on the turbos at idle, if it is the fins that are messed up you should be able to hear them slighty. Unless you have ridiculous amounts of shaft play. Have you chacked them physically?
