not a good idea. first of all, when you spin a rod bearing you need to replace ALL of the bearings, make sure no permanent damage has occurred to the rod or the crank, and have them machined or replaced accordingly. second of all, you're thinking of using used bearings???
while you're at it, you should throw in a fresh set of rings. and it's not something that's going to be done in an afternoon. you can theoretically do it with the motor still in the car, but i would suggest removing the motor, tearing it down, and completely rebuilding it. i think you should pay someone to do it for you, you don't want to get in over your head when rebuilding a motor.
you may want to try to find something else to drive in the meantime.
