Default Radiator question for 92-95 hatch

Hey all, I'm pretty new to the whole car scene, so I'm trying to do all work on my car, and learn along the way. Problem now: I'm changing out my radiator, and I've taken out the upper and lower radiator hose, but there are two more hoses connected to the bottom of the radiator. When I disconnected those, a red fluid (transmission fluid, idk) came out of each one. Just wondering how I would go about draining it out, and what my next step should be. Any and all help is appreciated.

I'm pretty sure those hoses go to your automatic transmission for cooling purposes. I could be wrong, though.
