Questions about HID'S need some advice
Im looking at buying a HID conversion kit for my 91 s13 hatch I already have the frsport h4 conversion housings.
what im wanting to know is what are some good brands of HID systems? Has anybody been happier with one brand better then another? Also what do i do about my high beams? Or will i no longer need them after the hid conversion?...thanks for your input

Re: Questions about HID'S need some advice
On my last car I picked up a DDM Tuning HID kit. All their kits come with a lifetime warranty and are reasonably priced. (roughly $65 if you're doing a high/low kit in 35w)
Ran my kit for 2 years before 1 ballast went out, probably due to slightly poor placement on my part. They shipped a replacement ballast to me with no hassle.

4300k or 5000k. If you want a little more blue go with 6000k but thats all I would go. 8000k is too high. You do realize the k value is just the color temperature right? The higher you go from 4300 the less light output you get.

Most of them if not the majority are just re-branded kits from asia. Its a hit or miss. I would just go that route since your car is um old or just keep the stock lights.

I would be more into researching better light output then just sticking "hid's" in to have the HID look. With your H4 conversion and a good set of H4 bulbs with an upgraded wiring harness, you probably have better light output now then you will with a cheap HID kit.

Re: Questions about HID'S need some advice
what do you mean by retrofit? I dont need to modify anything with what I have. Like I said I have FRSPORT.COM Hella H4 conversion housings and Im looking for a good quality hid H4 Plug and play hid system... so i dont need to "retrofit" or modify anything.
