Re: questions about head
zc-a on tag it says pm3-6 on the head a nd just zc on block its a 1.6 sohc non vtec what is the hp rating and real name of this motor and approx year???
if it says "ZC" it's real name is ZC - all ZCs are JDM and 1.6L - SOHC non-VTEC ZC is 118hp and is basically the same as a USDM D16A6 Si/EX engine with different camshaft - could be any year from 88 to 95 - some SOHC ZCs were also equipped with dual carbs instead of fuel injection (105hp) - some SOHC ZCs were also VTEC and are 130hp, basically the same engine as the USDM D16Z6 - no USDM engines are ZCs - the USDM 86-89 Integra D16A1 DOHC engine looks similar to the JDM DOHC ZC, but is a completely different engine (it does share valve train components, distributor, Cylinder Position Sensor and throttle body on 88-89, but other than that they are not the same)
