Question for you mugen heads.
Where can I get the best price on a mugen S2000 thermostat?
There are no 3000GT specific upgrade t-stats on the market, and apperently, the oem mitsu and honda part is the same.
Time to experiment? :x

Re: Question for you mugen heads.
IF I could only run down the street to a store and buy a upgraded t-stat for my car... I'd have done it already.
But appently, S2000 uses the same physical part as 3000GT.
So... Mugen or Spoon would work.
--------------Stock--Mugen--Spoon
Cracked Open-179----167-----149
Full Open------194----183----158
Back Closed---167----158-----???
I believe the minimum reccomended oil temp I've ever seen for 3000GT is 160F. So, Spoon would be too cold.
Side note: I might get this to work in conjucntion with the t-stat for stop and go traffic.

Anyway, where are the best prices for Mugen parts? _crs?

Re: Question for you mugen heads.
King is the only authorized Mugen dealer in the US and the thing is freaking $80 there!
But there may be some gray-market dealers who can get it for less. I'll do some browsing tomorrow and see what kind of deals I can find.

Re: Question for you mugen heads.
ive found a few places with mugen theromostats jay...but all of them do not offer one for the S2000. you might have to break down and pay for the one from kingmotorsports
and 80 bucks is about the going rate for one of these.

Re: Question for you mugen heads.
Wow, that's the fanciest fan controller I've ever seen.. Top Secret or someone makes one also, it's less expensive I think. I wish I could remember who I'm thinking of..
*EDIT:
Apparently I'm an idiot, I found the link. It's a Power Enterprise part, and it's around $250. Also available in black face.
