i hear you but i just wanted to know because i contacted dodge about the recall on my vin number and they said that there was no recall on my car. i don't believe them so i just wanted to see if anyone knew exactly. i mean the heads are polished but i just wanted to know just in case.

i work at va beach dodge and know all about the neons head gaskets. i hate neons and unfortunately my girl has one. no offense. the models are the 95-00. the head gaskets are crap. when you replace the head gasket also replace the water pump and have a coolant system flush. my good buddy has an extremely fast neon but the head gasket just went. good luck and buy a honda

To my knowledge, for the couple of years i was a chrysler tech, there was no recall. And thank god because recall work doesnt pay crap. There was a TSB i believe, refering to the design of the gasket, starting off as a paper type and then switching to the multi-layer metal gasket that does a much better job. Also, it was for 95-99 neons because the new body style ones were built with the multi-layer gasket.
