Default problems with my truck

i have a 88 toyota pick up truck lifted and shyt like that and we did a timen chain install and know when we try and start it it dont wanna stay runnin and know wht smoke is commin out and the oil is liek a brwn color with a whtish tint to it we changed all the gaskets and every thing people whats up with my truck

the old timing chain was wore slap the fuck out i assume?



if you didnt replace the timing chain cover, which i presume you didnt, that is your problem more then likely. the old chain was slapping against the cover and wore a hole in the coolant passage.

but i would say that is the least of your worries.....sounds like it is thrashed.

do a compression test. how do the spark plugs look? are any of them looking brand new (if not new)? if so, also check the coolant reservoir level. if it was full and now isn't sounds like a headgasket

did you take the cyl head off or just pulled the timing cover you might of ripped the head gasket when you put the timing cover back on or the o-ring fell off on the inside its were the water pipe bolts to the timing cover on the right side of the motor

i think its the head gasket to cause the oil looks all wht but it looks liek water had gotten into teh oil but kno wit wants to puff out wht smoke real bad whats up with that
