problems with 2000 honda civic
I put a 96 civic dx motor in a 00 civic I tried using the harness and intake from the 2000 but it kept getting hot after 15 mins or less. So I put my intake and harness from my 96 on it but it won't start. What should I have to do to make it work

Figure out if the fan is turning on. If the fan is turning on, replace the thermostat. If the fan isn't turning on, figure out why. There aren't that many electrical problems that will cause an engine to overheat. Unless it actually isn't overheating and the gauge is lying to you.

What made you think the wire harness is the culprit? You should always use the harness that came with the car or in your case the best alternative is the 99-00 civic si harness.

Car has no vtech. And it ran fine before I switched intake and harness motor came out of my running 96 civic fans work on the 2000 civic
