Default Power Windows wont roll down :(

I bought a 87 Prelude SI in January and knew that the windows didnt roll down. Now that it is getting warmer I need to look into fixing this.

First, the passenger side doesnt even have the "button". Where would the best place to pick one of these up be? I know the dealership is the obvious answer, but I dont even want to know what they would charge for one.

Second, everytime I put a fuse in for the driver side it blows as soon as I push the button. I checked the wires in/behind the door and nothing is obviously broken/frayed. Even the wires behind the fuse panel seem to look good. Is there somewhere else I should be looking?

Thanks for all the help
Lloyd

1st try a junk yard for the switches
2nd if yu try and rool down the window and the fuse blows sounds like the motor is blown!

If you dont mind paying someone there is a shop on VA BEACH BLVD near great neck called VA BEACH AUTO ELECTRIC they do good ass work! Chasing electrical can get pricey if you use the replace and check method.

Thanks for the advice. I dont really plan on paying someone to do this, because that will run me more than the car did. If it comes down to it, ill be happy to just turn the AC on and crack the sunroof open. But I would love to put the windows down on nice days like today.

do the windows move at all? if they do are you running power to anything else (speakers, neon's etc.) that the window motors are hooked to? are you using the right fuse?, just some questions i would think of
