Default power steering

ok I have a da integra with power steering and I have a bad pump and a bad line (leaking). just curious what kind of damage I would do to the rack if I just took the pump off and the lines until I could get new ones. ive seen plenty of people running no p/s with a p/s rack, but I dont wanna screw anything up any worse than it is. Is it ok to run it with no pump or is that a terrible idea?

Wouldn't really hurt anything, think about it, your rack is just a rack and a pinion, you aren't going to hurt anything.

just make sure you cap off all your hoses and open entries so no dirt get into your rack and pinion(for future install). then you should be fine . i took my ps out about 4yr ago and no problem here. the only damage i see coming from this is if you keep running your pump without any fluids or bad hoses and burn that pump up.

You can also use a manual rack out of an 88-91 civic. Thats what I did in my old DA
