plz help my 96 honda civic ex's starter wont work the battery is fine.
I tried banging on the start and it wont work and it keeps emitting a type of weird smell everytime i try to start the engine does any1 know what the reason behind this is?

lmao..if its not cranking over then it needs a starter...if its cranking over then it doesnt need a starter...

lmao..if its not cranking over then it needs a starter...if its cranking over then it doesnt need a starter...
it cranks VERY slowly, at first it didnt at all then after like 30minutes it started to crank real slow

it needs a starter
either that or you have bad connection... you dont have them stupid gold plated battery terminals on it do you????? they are junk..
make sure terminals are tight,and not by turning on with your hand

it was probably trying to tell you something...
take it off and when you go to get a new one they will test it for you...you need to return it anyway for a core

k so i took out my starter and then put it back in and the car starts now but still making that high pitched noise and now my check engine light is on.... my friend says its
1. sensor circuit high voltage
2. open or short circuit condition
3. poor electrical connection
4. faulty IAT sensor
