Re: which pistons should i use
gawd it depends. you on a budget? what you trying to do, MORE info. all motor?, rebuilding it?, if you are on the mild all motor some heads bore it out to 82mm+pistons+rods+cams+tuning etc...
My man had to rebuild his type r, pistons rings GONE and need a rebuild, had no money for high comp pistons so he ended up using stock sized oem pistons and rings. You know what? that worked out well so far 25k miles just dropping new oem Pistons and rings no more smoke, now he swears to not hone or bore cylinder depending on milage abusive on motor.

i am also building a b16 block
everyone says go 1.8 or at least bore it over 81.5+
if staying stock bore and just want something reliable/oem spec/budget get oem civic type r pistons for higher comp
or want something ballin get some je,cp, or weisco pistons 11:w/e +

go at least 1.8L
Sell the B16. I'm sorry, but trying to make power with an all motor 1.6 is a lost struggle.
than, depending on your budget, we can talk about pistons.

You would be better off saving your money and not buy aftermarket rods and pistons for a b16 and getting a b18 block for like 200 and putting the stock pr3 pistons in it. You would have a bigger motor for less than 500 after all the work and result in more power than a built all motor b16a.

Get a Gs-R block. Put your b16 pistons on the gs-r rods. Get ARP rod bolts for the Gs-R rods. Get new oem rod bearings from Acura.
Get some OEM or AEBS head studs with a cometic or Honda headgasket. Get a P28 and go get tuned.
Change cams later on.
Or turbo it.

If you decide to stick with the B16, get some CTR pistons, arp rod bolts, oem bearing, oem headgasket, and put the rest or your money in the head. Good daul valve springs and retainers and some nice cams and just rev the shit out of the motor. B16 don't have much low end power, but you can make alot of power up top. So do a built that will make power up to 10-10.5k rpms and it will be a fun car.
