Well Im repainting my bike, and Last time I did my previous bike all I did was primer but this time I am going to really paint it. The question is what grit sand paper should I use to sand all the fierings and tank down? I dont want to see any gashes where the sand paper dug in from being to big of a grit.. thanks

 

find the biggest number and go with it

 

320 before paint dont want to do it too fine because then paint wont stick to it..if you get trash in it wait till paint has fully dried then light sand out spots with trash using 1200 then buff till shinny again

 

So 320 wont show swirl marks after I paint?

 

no your basing then clearing right?>

 

use 400 or 420 if your affraid of that

 

Are you just scuffing and then repainting, or are you trying to remove all of the old paint?
