fixed clogged radiator thanks for the help

to me it sounds like somethin got damaged by it overheating because it wont start now, you may need to bleed the cooling system, clogged radiator or water pump you said you replaced the theromstat your gonna have to narrow down options why its over heating now you have to find out why it wont start cuz it just seems somethin got damaged or just went bad

i am trying to to get a hold of the guy but is what goes wrong when it overheats turned it right off when it over heated but its not even turning over nothing at all is even coming on besides the fan

Could it be the fuses got blown due to overheating

just take it to a shop, unless someone here could actually see what was going on, i don't think anybody can really help you out, there are 9 MILLION things that go wrong with Honda motors, and i have NEVER heard of a fuse blowing from a motor over heating....

It's an engine swap, and you probably just have a wiring problem. The engine probably might not have actually overheated at all, you might just have a problem with the signal to the temp gauge or something along those lines. You'd hear something when you tried to start it, even if the engine was seized. There is a chance you've hooked up the coolant lines wrong when you did the swap too. You can't really assume anything right now because it's a swap, so it's not like you were starting from a known-good installation that has started having problems all of a sudden.

I sounds like you should have someone else check everything out and see if you have anything obviously wrong. It may bruise your ego a bit, but it needs to be done.

If its not even cranking then you need to check all your fuses under the hood and the dash,if all are good then you should check your starter to see if when you turn the key to the start position it's getting a signal there(use a test light and have someone turn the car over,check for a signal on all wires on starter & look for a signal that is only present when the key is turned to start) .Probably won"t be one,but if it is then your starter needs to be checked(you can knock on the starter or put it in gear and rock the car to try to move the flywheel/started and re-try starting it,or pop the clutch).If there's no signal and no blown fuses then i would start checking the starter relay and all your related wires(especially if you had to run any new wires for the swap)you can have a bad ignition switch and it not crank(they make a set-up that will bypass everything and run power to a push button that connects to the starter which will turn over the starter to trouble shoot a bad switch/starter,or you could just use a thick jumper wire but don't advise that)as for the overheating,start checking the system,fill it up and bleed it,when you get it to run, make sure that thermostat is opening and no air in lines,and that all your hoses are right.And i'd also look at the coolant to see if theres any oil in it(the overflow reservoir may give you a idea of what your coolant system looks like) That's a good start.
