Re: Onesided intercoolers.
You'll find a lot of those 31 inch ebay specials, a lot of people buy the raw Spearco 30 inch wide cores and cut them into narrower 30 by whatever cores. You're looking for an I/C with tanks on the top and bottom, right? Not to discourage you, but intecoolers with the fittings on the same end aren't that great. Most of the air ends up taking the shortest path, which is close to the fittings, leaving a huge part of the core not doing any work.

no not really, im not looking for a HUGE intercooler were the air would stay on one side. i need a small one so small infact that it being onesided would not matter. Unless you can help me get one, dont waste your finger strength. Thanx for the info though.

Re: Onesided intercoolers.
Check out Forge Motorsports, they have cool stuff. Not the cheapest, but high quality. Are you looking for something like this:
If you notice, the tank has a partition in the middle of it, the air goes through half the core, through the far tank, and back through the other half of the core. Good stuff. Supposedly 85% of the air goes through the first half of the core on a standard intercooler with tanks on the same side, which is why the partitioned unit is better. The partitioned core will have more pressure drop across it though because the internal length the air travels is longer. FOr a small core though this won't make a difference. No one laugh at my 5 minute drawing..

Here's the diagram of the intercooler in the picture. I'm having a blast making dumb pictures during my study breaks..

www.slowboyracing.com or turbonetics can do the same thing Spearco does, and you get all kinds of options. Hope this helps.
