ok I bought a OBD2 To OBD1 coversion harness
from fabrik8 and put it in my car and just ran a dx ecm
just for now. BUT BUT my car throws code 14
air idle thinggy the sensor that the coolant runs through.
the idle jumps around between 500-2000
not erradic but slowly
if I push the gas to the floor the car boggs out
and at 6 grand it sputters really bad
please guys help me out
thanks Eric

you sound like you have a vacuum leak of some kind. look into the throttle body, you should see 2 holes for the idle air one on the bottom and one on the top. they are kinda to the left. put you finger over the bottom port. it should stop idling abnormally. if this is what happens it is a relatively easy fix. try this and shoot me a pm. or just hit me on aol im. i have run into this problem before.

when i put my motor in i had the same problem, i have an integra, but heres what happened, on the obd1 harnesses the iac valve and someother sensor are the same plug and they fit each other, every other plug only plugs into the one its supposed to, but on this particular one they can be plugged into the wrong one, check that, cuase tucker told me to check it and that was the problem, i was about to replace the iac valve but didnt have to, the plugs are right next to each other so just swap them, it might help, ionno......

see the plug is a 3wire orange,yellow,blue
it runs fine when i have the stock obd2 ecu in it
but once I swap them and put the obd1 dx ecm it
screws all up.
I might just buy a stock motor and forget about it

sounds like you may have a disfunctional ecu
if you want to bring the car over i can check it out for you. i have a spare ecu you can try too. if your car has a vtec head on it then why are you using a p06 ecu? you should use a p28 ecu thats what i have in my 98 ex with an adapter harness
