Re: oil type question
thats some dumb shit there! i use mobile 1 10w30 in my denali.....mobile1 15w50 in my mercedes and i used mobile 1 10w40 in my civic. you dont need anything heavier than 10w40 in a teg. the lighter oil with free up a tad my power and get a little better fuel mileage. hell you can use mobile1 0w30 or 0w40 if you wanted to.

Re: oil type question
Yeah using 10w30 or 10w40 is safe. Because seeing as it is a 4 cyl. you don't wanna use a heavy weight oil. I use castrol syntec 10w40 and my engine sounds beautiful.

Re: oil type question
I used Amsoil 10w30 in my B16 since the day I bought it, kept for another 80k miles and then I sold it. It's still running strong from what I hear.
Who the hell told you to run 20w50 on the street? You'll probably have lube problems with that, Honda bearing clearances are too tight to run something that thick. You'll have high oil pressure too and power loss from more friction due to fluid shear and windage.

Check up with Honda and their race cars.. syn-blend is a great option.
