uhhh...why? ive never had a problem removing a d-series oil pan.

its pretty simple..you remove 10-15 oil pan bolts(i dunno exactly how many there are), hit the pan a couple times with a rubber mallet and the pan should separate from the block. clean the edges of the pan, apply RTV or other gasket maker and reinstall the pan. it's pretty straight forward.

make sure you drain your oil first

hand tight is what ive always done. but be very careful...oil pan bolts are small and weak...i broke 3 in a row on a Spec V lol.

lolol ive never had a d-series, nor have i ever owned a honda.

last d-series oil pan i messed with was on a JDM D15B. the motor wasnt in the car at the time, so i honestly dont know if you have to drop the exhaust or not. if you have an aftermarket header then it should be fairly easy to drop.

edit- i take that back, i have done an oil pan on a d16y8..it was turbo tho, so the exhaust was routed differently. even then, i dont remember if we had to drop the exhaust or not.
