Don't unplug the battery cable, that will lock your radio and erase all your memory. It's in the owner's manual and it's not a secret. When a mechanic doesn't know how to reset a light he goes into the glovebox for the manual. But anyway with the key on scroll through the info to the oil life%, press and hold the reset button until the wrench and the % starts blinking, then release it and hold it again. The % will reset to 100 and the wrench will dissapear.

Yeah, you have to realize that manufacturers don't want the average car owner messing with that stuff usually. Makes sense though, if you think about most of the people in the world that own cars.
