OBD2 with intake sensor
Alright, I have a 1996 Civic LX. It has that annoying/gay Air meter sensor that goes into the intake manifold. Is there any way to bypass it? I'm swapping over to a full D16z6 Intake manifold today, so I didn't know if maybe the obd-1 intake manifold had a plug for it somewhere, so I don't have to use that sensor anymore.

The two screw Intake Air Temp sensor?
If so, all of them have it.
I thought the obd-2 ones had it on the actual intake tube itself before the throttle body.
If yours is on your intake manifold, you'll be fine.

your prolly talking about the black thing on your intake manifold that has 2 lines running to it, without that plug thats on it plugged in while running a obd2 ECU you will throw a CEL. just leave it plugged in and let it hang behind the intake manifold.

I hate obd-2 stuff. If I ever bought a obd-2 car, first thing I'd do is switch to obd-1.

yeah mine too. i had a y8 in a eg and even though it was obd1 it still needed it. so I had to have gene at tunerz edge wire one in. We just zip tied it to the harness and didn't plug it in. As long as it is reading temps you are fine.

Are you guys serious? You need an intake air temp sensor no matter if you have an OBD2 or OBD1 setup. It has nothing to do with emissions, it's a very important sensor and is the other half of the way air density is calculated (the MAP sensor is the first half). Your engine won't run correctly without an accurate air temp reading, so plugging one in to get rid of a CEL is kinda stupid. Just giving the ECU a temp (different than the actual intake air temp) doesn't do anything except fool the ECU. Don't be lazy.
